Abstract

Understanding the visual dimensions of cities is crucial for shaping urban spaces and influencing human behavior. With the advent of big data and artificial intelligence (AI), urban studies are experiencing unprecedented opportunities for real‐time data collection and analysis. Urban visual intelligence (UVI) leverages large‐scale street‐level imagery and AI techniques to systematically observe, interpret, measure, and understand urban environments. This approach enhances our understanding of urban life, supports sustainable development goals by uncovering hidden patterns, and provides actionable insights for urban resilience and quality of life.
