Urinary Dipsticks: Efficacy as Predictor of Urinary Tract Infections

Abstract: Urinalysis and culture are the two most common investigations performed in a microbiology laboratory. Commercial Dipsticks which detect proteins and various enzymes may offer a rapid and inexpensive alternative to urinalysis and culture.
