Abstract:Presacral hemorrhage after pelvic surgery usually results in massive, life-threatening bleeding. It is often difficult to control this presacral hemorrhage with standard hemostasis techniques after rectal mobilization. Mobilization of the rectum is part of the daily maneuvers of most pelvic surgeons.
