Nos referimos al estudio de las uniones híbridas estructurales, entendiendo como tales aquellas uniones en las que los elementos de unión tienen como misión principal trasmitir las cargas entre adherentes. Concretamente presentamos las denominadas uniones híbridas porque están resueltas mediante la combinación de una unión mecánica convencional (atornillada o remachada) y un adhesivo cianoacrilato. El estudio ha abordado siempre cargas estáticas tanto de tracción como de cortadura, aunque en este trabajo solo se incluyen las primeras. El propósito del trabajo es conocer el funcionamiento de las uniones híbridas, analizando el grado de acoplamiento de los elementos usados en su resolución y, sobre todo, la influencia del adhesivo cuando es incorporado a una unión mecánica convencional. El método usado para el análisis es fundamentalmente experimental, ensayándose uniones puras resueltas con elementos mecánicos (tornillos o remaches) en unos casos y, con adhesivo, en otros. Posteriormente se realizaron los ensayos sobre las uniones híbridas, combinando el adhesivo con el correspondiente elemento mecánico. En todos los casos, el diseño de las probetas y de las propias uniones ha sido analizado en profundidad. Los resultados obtenidos son producto de la comparación del comportamiento de las uniones anteriormente descritas, pudiendo concluir que: si a las uniones mecánicas estudiadas se les añade adhesivo del tipo cianoacrilato, aumentan sensiblemente su resistencia. The hybrid term is due to the combination of a conventional mechanical joint (screwed or riveted) and a cyanoacrylate adhesive. The main task of the elements of the joints is to transmit the loads from one to another adherent. We have approached the problem of tensil static loads. The objective of the present work is to know the performance of these joints by observing how the elements of the joints operate together and, specially, what is the effect of the adhesive when is incorporated to a conventional mechanical joint. The following joints have been tested: mechanical joints with rivets, mechanical joints with screws, adhesive joints and hybrid joints (mechanical element and adhesive). A wide variety of factors have been considered in the specimens design and, specially, in the joints. Conclusions are obtained from the comparison of the performance of all described type of joints. The most significant conclusion is that if a cyanoacrylate adhesive is used with a mechanical element in a joint, the resistant performance of the joint is rather greater.
