This study presents a detailed experimental investigation on the effects incorporating non-metallic fibers in hybrid form in self-compacting concrete (SCC). In this regard SCC was prepared with Alccofine and Metakaolin as partial replacement for cement in 15% and 20% respectively along with the hybrid fibre combinations namely abaca fibres (0.25%, 0.5% & 0.75%), polypropylene fibres (0.5%, 1%, 1.5% & 2%) and glass fibres (0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, & 2%). The fresh properties of SCC with and without hybrid fibre combinations were assessed through the standard tests such as slump flow, J ring and V-funnel tests. The conventional mechanical tests such as compressive strength test, split tensile strength test and flexural strength test were performed at 7 and 28 days. The experimental results reveal that the fresh properties of SCC were highly influenced by alccofine and Metakaolin adopted in this research. Furthermore, that the hybrid combination of abaca with polypropylene and glass fibres improved the mechanical properties of SCC and in particular the mix with 1% glass fibre and 0.25% Abaca fibre had shown better flexural and tensile strength behaviour. Microstructure analyses were also done to confirm the improvement in mechanical properties. The Scanning Electron Microscope images of the mix with 1% glass fibre and 0.25% abaca fibre showed less voids presence and presence of more hydrated components conveying that the usage of hybrid fibres had restricted the propagation of cracks there by reducing the percentage of voids and the use of metakaolin and alcofine helping in forming hydrated components at earlier stage leading to better strength.

Concrete is the most frequently used material in development due to its high pliancy, economy, security, and outstanding durability. It must be sufficiently strong to endure various loads, with compressive strength being its most vital mechanical attribute. The current study investigates binary and ternary mixed concrete blends with silica fume, ceramic powder, bagasse ash, and alccofine to determine compressive and flexural strength. Results from compressive strength tests indicate that mixes containing superfine alccofine exhibit higher strength. Additionally, the impact of supplementary cementitious materials on surface morphology was examined using scanning electron microscopy. This study employs linear regression, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Bayesian-optimized extreme gradient boosting (BO-XGBoost) to estimate the compressive strength of ternary mixed concrete. The predictive models were validated using the coefficient of determination (R²), mean absolute error (MAE), and mean square error (MSE). Linear regression and BO-XGBoost models demonstrated high accuracy in predicting outcomes, with R² values of 0.883 and 0.880, respectively, compared to 0.736 for the KNN model. Furthermore, normalized feature importance analysis identified the input variables that significantly affect compressive strength, highlighting the importance of CaO and SiO₂ in predicting the compressive strength of ternary mixed concrete.

Objectives:The study intends to assess the durability behaviour of Engineered Cementitious Composites containing Alccofine and fibres in mono and hybrid formats. Methods: The study comprehensively investigates ECC's response to water absorption, density, volume of permeable pores and sorptivity based on ASTM C 642 and 1585, respectively. In addition, ECC specimens were subjected to various environments such as acid, alkaline and sulphate mediums to find the performance mentioned above. Findings: The introduction of Alccofine caused a significant effect on both mechanical and durability properties. The results indicated that the inclusion of Alccofine exhibited a decrease of 18.67% of absorption and 25.89% of voids in ECC compared to the control mortar. The density of ECC increased by about 13.42%. After being exposed to acid, alkaline, and sulphate environments, the percentage loss of weight in ECC is 2.93%, 0.56%, and 0.51%, respectively, whereas in the control specimen, it was 3.92%, 0.83%and 1.51%, respectively. Percentage loss of strength also follows the same trend; the values are 14.67%, 3.27% and 11.19% in ECC, whereas in the control specimen, 23.32%, 8.33% and 16.79%, respectively. Alcconfine enhanced microstructure refinement and synthetic fibres crack mitigation behaviour improve ECC's resistance to the deterioration mechanisms. Novelty: The article reveals that adding Alccofine and hybridising fibers developed a sustainable material and found superior performance in all harsh environmental conditions. Using concrete with enhanced properties will be beneficial.
