Use of an extended KDIGO definition to diagnose acute kidney injury in patients with COVID-19: A multinational study of the ISARIC cohort

Abstract: Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is one of the most common and significant problems in patients with COVID-19. However, little is known about the incidence and impact of AKI occurring in the community or early in the hospital admission.
