Abstract:The air particulate matter (PM) is recognized as mutagenic and this mutagenicity is mainly associated to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and their derivatives, which can be more mutagenic to its precursors. The chemical composition of PM is related to climatic conditions such as temperature and solar radiation. Based on this, the PM samplings were performed in cities with different environmental conditions, in order to compare mutagenicity profiles and chemical composition of organic extracts. The samp… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
