Use of Aspergillus japonicas culture filtrate as a feed additive in quail breeder’s nutrition

Abstract: This study was carried out to study the beneficial role of organic acids and other beneficial compounds produced by Aspergillus japonicas and their effects on the egg production, egg quality, fertility, and hatchability as well as blood metabolites of quail breeders. A number of 150 mature 8-week of age Japanese quails (100 females and 50 males) were used and divided into 5 groups. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4 th , and 5th groups were fed basal diet with 0 (control), 1, 2, 3, and 4 ml Aspergillus japonicas culture fil… Show more

“…Aside from lipase enzyme, birds fed 5 and 15 g/kg FUA had greater amylase activity. Organic acids supplementation may be responsible for the increase in FCR since acidic anions aid mineral absorption ( Abdel-Latif et al, 2020 ; Alagawany et al, 2020 ; Pearlin et al, 2020 ). Broilers fed organic acid diets improved nutrient absorption by increasing the height of villus in the intestine ( Xia et al, 2004 ).…”

“…Feed supplements and additives have been effectively used in poultry rations for increasing the productivity and improving the general health and wellbeing (Yatoo et al 2017;Mohamed et al 2019;Alagawany et al 2020aAlagawany et al , 2020b. Many recent technologies are being widely used in improving poultry production in terms of quantity and quality, such as the use of nanoparticles (Sahoo et al 2016;El-Rayes et al 2019;Nabi et al 2020;Reda et al 2020).…”

“…The overuse of antibiotics has led to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and has been shown to cause residual effects in poultry, which has resulted in the ban of antibiotics in many countries. Functional feed additives are promising natural alternatives to antibiotics ( Abd El-Hack et al, 2020b ; Alagawany et al, 2020a ; Rehman et al, 2020 ;).…”
