An analysis of the effectiveness of using interactive technology (cases) to improve the quality of training of 3rd year students of the specialty 20. 03. 01 “Technosphere Security” was carried out as part of the study of the discipline “Supervision and control in the field of security”. Cases have been developed that are based on real problems in the field of supervisory activities and involve a paradigm shift in the consideration of applied problems in the “Inspector-Individual/Legal Entity-Judge” system. In order to assess the effectiveness of including cases in students’ practical work, testing was carried out before and after the implementation of interactive technology. The results of processing testing data made it possible to identify an increase in the level of mastery of the material for some students (male students) by 48.5 %, with a parallel slight decrease in the indicators for some students (female students) by 2.8 %. It has been established that case methods can improve the quality of knowledge transfer and assimilation for a significant part of students – 50 % of students. Based on the results of assessing the effectiveness of using interactive technology (cases), a conclusion was formulated about the prospects of using the approach in educational activities.
