Use of Liapunov Functions in Dissipative and Explosive Models

Abstract

The global behaviour of a system (stable, conservative, explosive) can be realized applying Liapunov functions. To illustrate this, some dissipative thermodynamical examples are shown together with some autocatalytic chemical models displaying explosive behaviour.
