“…The Mitekt anchor has been described as a method of reinsertion of tendon and avulsed ligaments into bone (Silva et al, 1998), but no series of cases has been reported for the attachment of tendon graft to the distal phalanx using the Mitekt anchor. Merle et al (2000) reviewed the use of the Mitekt anchor in the digits and described its use in repairs of extensor tendons and collateral ligaments and for tendon transfers, joint subluxations, palmar plate avulsions. They also mentioned, but did not describe, its use in attachment of tendon grafts.…”
