Abstract: We aimed to evaluate fetal and placental oxygen saturation (sO2) in anemic and non-anemic pregnant rats throughout gestation using photoacoustic imaging (PAI). Female Sprague Dawley rats were fed an iron-restricted or iron-replete diet before and during pregnancy.
