Abstract:Introduction: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), characterized by chronic intestinal inflammation, can be subcategorized into Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis. The treatment for these conditions is unique to each patient, and may include lifestyle changes, pharmaceutical intervention, and surgery.
