Using AI to Detect AI-Generated Research Papers

Abstract: On February 20, 2023, science fiction magazine Clarkesworld was forced to stop accepting author submissions. In the preceding weeks, magazine's editors had seen a sharp increase in submissions--approximately 70\% more than normal. The reason for this drastic increase in submissions was the consumerization of large language models such as ChatGPT and Bard.
