Using the selection index for estimation the lifelong productivity of simmental cows

Abstract: The research was aimed at developing a breeding index to assess the productive longevity of Simmental cows. To conduct the research, a database was formed with a population of 2.500 retired Simmental cows bred in 14 regions of the Russian Federation in 2008–2022.
