Utility of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in assessment of liver fibrosis

Abstract: a b s t r a c tObjectives: hepatic fibrosis occurs due to chronic liver injury. Early fibrosis can be reversed by treatment with specific antifibrotic therapy in addition to removal of the cause if possible, that is why, identification of the early liver fibrosis is important. MRI DWI is a non-invasive non-contrast imaging technique which help in diagnosis of different stages of hepatic fibrosis. Aim of the work: was to study the predictive value of diffusion weighted MRI for assessing liver fibrosis in compar… Show more

“…ДВИ играет важную роль в оценке очаговых и диффузных заболеваний печени [16,17]). На количественные показатели параметров диффузии могут влиять параметры и тип используемой импульсной последовательности, а также такие факторы, как проницаемость, перфузия и клеточная структура.…”

“…The unfulfilled assumption of the four articles in question relates to the independent variable. Igbigbi et al (2018) in article number 12 stated that "the comparison between ethnic groups was by means of one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA)", whereas the authors studied only two ethnic groups (Delta Igbos and Isokos) as categorical independent variables (Emara et al 2018). A similar scenario also played out in articles number 27 (Ephraim et al 2018), number 13 (Field 2013) and number 5 (Gore et al 1977) where all groups of authors stated that they employed one-way ANOVA test.…”
