Utility of Doppler sonography for renal artery stenosis screening in obese children with hypertension

Abstract: Significant advancements in sonographic instrumentation and techniques have led to the widespread use of duplex Doppler ultrasonography (US) for assessment of various kidney diseases in children.It has taken on a major role in noninvasive evaluation of the kidneys because of its ease, flexibility, and low cost along with its ability to offer both anatomic and dynamic information in real time.
