Utility of flexible sigmoidoscopy as an adjunct to double-contrast barium enema examination

Abstract: DCBE is insensitive in the detection of rectosigmoid polyps. FS should continue to be used as a complementary examination to DCBE in the investigation of suspected colorectal carcinoma.
