Abstract: Background: Breast cancer is a collection of diseases defined by distinct pathological (e.g., ductal, lobular, mucinous) and molecular characteristics (e.g., ER and PR, HER2 amplification, and more recently transcriptome-based classifications such as luminal and basal cancers).
