Abstract:Thin film photovoltaic (PV) systems convert sunlight into DC electricity using large-area, solid-state semiconductor devices called thin film PV modules. This section characterizes fixed (nontracking), grid-connected systems in the U.S. producing conditioned, AC electricity ( Figure 1).
