A umidade… Show more

“…Allen et al (1998) also claim that crops managed in espaliers, which reach height of 1.5 to 2.0 m, need Kc values to be increased. Peres et al (2013), evaluating the use of weighing lysimeters to determine melon crop coefficients for the cultivation in The Kc values of the initial stage observed by these authors is lower than that of the present study. This fact can be related to the type of lysimeter used, because water table lysimeters have a constant water replacement in the system and the plants are not well developed in this stage, thus increasing water evaporation from the soil.…”

“…Comparing the present study with previous studies, Allen et al (1998) reported cucumber K c values of 0.6, 1.15 and 0.75 for the initial, middle and late stages, respectively; however, these values were for open‐field conditions. Variations in K c can be due to the differences in environmental conditions (open or enclosed), species cultivars (Peres et al, 2013), plant densities (Qiu et al, 2013), type of crop training systems, length of the cropping cycle, planting dates (Orgaz et al, 2005), soil type and its management, agronomic practices and LAI (Rallo et al, 2021). Several authors have reported higher K c values for cucumber crops in CEA.…”
