“…The zinc ions affinity of the hybrid sorbent with guar gum is lower by half. The B parameter allows also for calculation of dimensionless constant separation factor R L [ 35 ], which indicates character of sorption (R L > 1, unfavorable; R L = 1, linear; 0 < R L < 1, favorable; and R L = 0, irreversible). Obtained results (0.07–0.85, 0.13–0.91, and 0.08–0.85 for P+A, P+G, and P beads, respectively) indicate the favorable sorption in the whole investigated range of zinc(II) initial concentration.…”

“…However, these materials, especially crosslinked with Ca, had the highest B parameter, thus the strongest affinity to Zn(II) ions. The B parameter was used also for calculation of dimensionless constant separation factor RL [ 21 ], which indicates the character of sorption: RL > 1, unfavorable; RL = 1, linear; 0 < RL < 1, favorable; and RL = 0, irreversible. Our results (RL: 0.02–0.61; 0.01–0.47; 0.007–0.30; 0.01–0.39; 0.01–0.40; 0.01–0.40 for PMMA1; 2; 3; 4; 5 and 6, respectively) indicate that adsorption of zinc(II) ions on studied materials was favorable.…”

“…The statistical analysis considered 62 published articles. The experimental factors taken into consideration were temperature, reaction time, Si/Al and solid/liquid ratio . Statistical analysis was carried out to study their influence on the type of zoolite synthesized; subsequently, contrast analysis was carried out to compare the synthesis conditions between the zeolites synthesized using FA (Table ).…”
