“…25 Whereas, the high density polyethylene (HDPE) offer high degree of crystallinity for the plastic mixture, high resistance for corrosion and smooth interior surface for the tiles. 26 Several mechanical tests were measured for the manufacture tiles which are important for fixing their specifications and accordingly it can be determine their construction uses. The compression strength (CS) and cold work CW(%) of the prepared tiles were examined using the machine in Figure1 and the mechanical results Table2 shows the weight percentages of different polymers in the tile mixture beside the tile form have a significant effects on CS and CW(%).…”

“…At the same time, Darweesh 10 investigated the possibility of usage of glass waste in the manufacturing of ceramic tiles, he prepared different mixtures of grog (ceramic waste), feldspar, Toshka clay, quartz, and limestone as a basic mixture and then partially replaced it with glass waste ranging from 0% to 35% fired at different temperatures ranged from 1000 to 1200 • C with 2 h soaking time. The results indicated that using glass waste improves the thermal, mechanical and physical properties of ceramic tiles, glass waste can be used in ceramic tiles with a maximum addition of 25% at a temperature of 1200 • C. Also, Raguraman et al 11 discussed the possibility of production of floor tiles using white cement, plastic and Prosopis Juliflora Ash (PJA). White cement was replaced by plastic waste and PJA with different percentages.…”

“…The researchers linked these benefits to the pozzolanic properties of PJA, which promoted the formation of calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel. This gel is known for enhancing the strength and durability of cementitious materials [Raguraman et al 2021, Praveena et al 2018. In this investigation, paver blocks with varying proportions of fly ash (ranging from 0% to 25%) were subjected to compressive strength testing.…”
