However, considering the high incidence of benzodiazepine utilization and self-medication in the general population of Serbia, as well as high incidences of benzodiazepine prescription in psychiatric hospitals in Eastern Europe (Jordanova et al, 2011;Divac et al, 2004Divac et al, , 2009, it was difficult to conduct the study with benzodiazepine-free depressive patients.
