Utopian Hopes? Dystopian Fears?

Abstract

I use a discussion about our human hopes for a this-worldly utopia as a counter-choice to allowing the world to drift or neglect its way into its own forms of dystopia. The signs are clear, including those of climate change and increasing authoritarianism.
