V.A. Gorbatov Theory of Characterization - Principles and Examples

Abstract: Characterization theory was developed in the 1970s by a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a prominent cybernetics V.A. Gorbatov, and became the nucleus of an international school. Many of today’s academy graduates make a new generation of scholars, more than 150 doctors and assistant professors, developing a new descriptive theory of cybernetic complex systems, based on the canon of the so-called characterization principle, binding the sets of y¥a functioning models and x¥bstructure models using the p… Show more

“…Gorbatov (Krupa, 2013), which points to the necessity of observing the isomorphic function of structuralfunctional maps,  from the structural and functional relationships of resources originates the hypothesis of the universality of the term "resource" in the world of material values and in the world of virtual invariants of structural and functional values,  the internal and external security issues organized by the CI with the use of hypergraph structures of objects and their internal and external channels (Fig. 7a) are considered to be the basic value of the concept of the resource and related terms.…”

“…The essence of the risk account in the decision spaces focuses on the integration of the event network with a multi-layer or hypergraph structure of objects connected through buffers. The mentioned elements of this integration are connected with each other by means of:  event forcing initiated on the external and internal buffers of potential p# objects in single-and multi-layer structures, as well as in hypergraph structures,  semantic analysis carried out using the paradigm of the characterization principle related to the semantic correctness 12 of p# CI objects.…”

“…The theory of fuzzy sets (Zadeh, 1965;Krupa, 1998), as well as rough set theory (Pawlak, 1991) and the theory of characterization (Gorbatov, 1979; Gorbatov, Krupa, 1984;Krupa, 2009a;Krupa, 2009b;Krupa, 2013) allow the use of vague concepts in the formulation of decision problems and finding their solutions.…”
