Abstract:Our data confirms the findings that lower cystometric capacity as found during preoperative urodynamics predicts increased TOS failure rate. In our cohort, the functional bladder capacity on voiding diary correlated poorly with cystometric capacity and was not correlated to TOS outcomes. In institutions where urodynamics are not performed in the evaluation of PPSUI, the large discrepancies between DC and CC must be appreciated as preoperative urodynamics may help in procedure selection.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
