Abstract:Terpenoids otherwise called isoprenoids are secondary metabolites with diverse biological and pharmacological activities. They serve as candidate compounds for drug discovery. They are classified into mono-, sesqui-, di-, tri-, tetra-, and polyterpenoids based on their isoprenoid structural units.
