Abstract: Objectives: Hyperuricemia is common in pediatric renal transplant recipients, and it is associated with poor allograft outcomes. Hyperuricemia occurs early after transplant and is associated with use of diuretics, cyclosporine therapy, a history of hyperuricemia, and decreased glomerular filtration rate.
