Abstract:<p><strong>Objectives:</strong> Chlamydia trachomatis remains a major cause of genital tract infection and can cause undesirable consequences, such as female infertility. Adolescent girls are physiologically more vulnerable to genital tract infection than older women and need regular screening for genital pathogens.
