Vaginal Hysterectomy for the Prolapsed Uterus

Abstract: Although most gynecologists are comfortable performing vaginal hysterectomy in the patient without significant uterovaginal prolapse, vaginal hysterectomy for the prolapsed uterus poses unique challenges and requires an increased awareness of deviations in pelvic anatomy that may result.
