Objective: To develop closed-form relation between current and voltage of PV module based on single-diode equivalent circuit under valid approximation. Methods: The behaviour of PV module under various operational conditions can be easily and accurately determined when the intrinsic parameters like series resistance, shunt resistance, photo current and ideality factor are accurately modelled. Therefore, it is required to develop a mathematical model that must be compact and accurate to provide new insights into the electrical performance of the module faster.
