“…Also, the scale to measure maternal-fetal attachment was searched. There are many researchers adopted the maternal-fetal attachment scale into their language and occupied the term in the medical and psychology literature (Bielawska Batorowicz & Siddiqui, 2008;Chen et al, 2011;Lingeswaran & Bindu, 2012;Siddiqui et al, 1999;Suryaningsih, 2015;Ustunsoz et al, 2010;Vedova et al, 2008). Several projects to explore the predicting factors of maternal-fetal attachment also have been found (Alhusen et al, 2012;Bielawska Batorowicz & Siddiqui, 2008;Doan & Zimerman, 2008;Maas et al, 2014).…”

“…The results were unexpected as there was no correlation between the 2 inventories (82). MFA is known for being the first valid and reliable tool to measure MFA and was launched in the U.S. in 1981 (14); it has subsequently been adapted and used in India in 2012 (83), in China in 2012 (84), and in Taiwan in 2013 (85) (see Table 1.1 below).…”

“…Condon aimed to focus on pregnant women's experiences during pregnancy (83); consequently, Condon designed the Maternal Antenatal Attachment Scale (MAAS), which now has 19 items based on women's experiences, specifically their feelings, behaviours and attitudes towards their babies (83). Items were generated from literature review and interviews with pregnant women then they were scored by a Likert-scale (1 = the absence of feelings towards the fetus, 5 = very strong feelings towards the fetus).…”
