“…It was surprising that none of the studies examined a cross-culturally and cross-linguistically applicable test, even though such a test has been developed, that is, the Cross-Linguistic Naming Test (Ardila, 2007). The Cross-Linguistic Naming Test has been studied in healthy non-Western populations from Morocco, Colombia, and Lebanon (Abou-Mrad et al, 2017;Galvez-Lara et al, 2015), as well as in Spanish patients with dementia (Galvez-Lara et al, 2015). These studies preliminarily support its cross-cultural applicability, although more research is needed in diverse populations with dementia.…”

“…The structure of the AF shows the duality of the perception of the name: there are reactions in the core and periphery expressing the recognition of the idea of the developer and reactions that demonstrate the vagueness of semantics. Stable links between the stimulus (the Russian component Блин, that can also be translated as Damn) and reactions manifest themselves in semantic zones (1,2,3,4,8) related to food and fast food and implemented in the reactions of the three structural parts of the AF. Clearly formed large nucleus (reaction rank above 2 is 44%) with near periphery (rank 2 -19%).…”

“…The CLNT consists of a set of 40 items that have corresponding words in many languages according to the Swadesh list (Swadesh, 1952), and that are presented in the form of colored photographs. Studies with this instrument show preliminary support of its cross-cultural properties and its usefulness in assessing dementia-related naming impairments in dementia patients from Spain (Galvez-Lara et al, 2015). Ardila warned, however, that his test may have low sensitivity due to ceiling effects, which were observed in control participants across several countries (Abou-Mrad et al, 2017;Galvez-Lara et al, 2015).…”
