“…This tool was developed by Sellers et al [27] in 2014 to classify the ability of children with CP to eat and drink into 5 levels from appropriate safety and efficacy (level 1) to a high risk of aspiration which might need tube feeding placement (level 5) based on the concepts of safety (chance of aspiration) and efficacy (limited oral motor skills). In its Persian version, an acceptable test-retest reliability of 0.99 was obtained [28].…”

Questi fattori rischiano di provocare ansia e sfociare addirittura in depressione, con inevitabili conseguenze nello sviluppo del figlio (Riyahi et al, 2017).…”

“…Little is known about how parents experience the impact of their child's behavior on the family unit but within occupational therapy (OT) we have a growing body of research emphasizing the parenting role (Dhas et al, 2023;Gutman & Raphael-Greenfield, 2014;Jacobs et al, 2020;Novak & Honan, 2019;Schiller-Evatt et al, 2022;Scott et al, 2021). Negative child outcomes can occur when the parental role of being responsible for the child's current development and planning for the future is unbalanced (Riyahi et al, 2017). Parents have described their child like a wrecking ball in their home and the lack of skills to manage behavior induces stress (Leitch et al, 2019).…”

“…Parents have described their child like a wrecking ball in their home and the lack of skills to manage behavior induces stress (Leitch et al, 2019). Stress occurs as parents feel the responsibility of solving problems created by disruption in the family, including a child’s behavior (Riyahi et al, 2017). Stress can lead to burdensome emotions for these parents and negatively affect their occupational functioning (Brown & Clark, 2017; Mofokeng & van der Wath, 2017; Scott et al, 2021).…”
