Abstract:The influence of van der Waals volume as well as molecular configuration of the probe on its rotation is investigated by defocused single molecule fluorescence microscopy. The results show that the probe with a larger van der Waals volume has lower integrated power spectra density and the fraction of rotational molecules at each temperature. However, the asymmetric configuration of probe can make the integrated power spectra density and the fraction of rotational molecules larger. Therefore, the van der Waals … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
