Abstract:Abstract-The Keller-Miksis equation (KME) is commonly used for numerical studies of inertial and stable-inertial cavitation. However, experimental validation of KME under clinically relevant exposure settings is scarce, particularly in terms of the acoustic emission signal generated by the cavitation. In this paper, the KME is validated against a cavitation cloud collapsing f 0/2 and f0/3 sub-harmonically with some success. This could significantly aid the design of arrays for passive acoustic mapping (PAM), q… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
