Abstract:The growth of the polyextremophile red microalga Galdieria sulphuararia ACUF064 under mixotrophy and heterotrophy was evaluated in a lab-scale stirred photobioreactor, using buttermilk as carbon source. Beforehand, G. sulphuraria growth on glucose, galactose and lactose, was evaluated.
