Abstract:We present an innovative process for directly transforming poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), a polymer extensively used in food and beverage packaging, into trans‐isomer‐enriched 1,4‐cyclo‐ hexanedimethanol (CHDM), a key ingredient in advanced specialty polymers.
