Value of endoscopic examination of airways and swallowing in tracheostomy decannulation

Abstract: Background: Tracheostomy decannulation decision is the major challenge in the clinical management of tracheostomy patients. Little evidence is available to guide the weaning process and optimal timing of tracheostomy tube removal.
