Vapor deposition on doublet airfoil substrates: Control of coating thickness and microstructure

Abstract: Gas jet assisted vapor deposition processes for depositing coatings are conducted at higher pressures than conventional physical vapor deposition methods, and have shown promise for coating complex shaped substrates including those with non-line-of-sight (NLS) regions on their surface.
