Abstract:Binary isothermal vapor−liquid equilibrium (VLE) of ethanol and sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ) at six temperatures (303−353 K) was measured. The systems were modeled using the non-random two-liquid (NRTL)−Hayden−O'Connell (HOC) model. The NRTL parameters were optimized using Barker's data reduction method. Ternary isothermal VLE of ethanol, water, and SO 2 at six temperatures (303−353 K) was measured. The binary isothermal VLE of SO 2 and water in the dilute range of SO 2 and liquid−liquid equilibrium (LLE) were found… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
