Abstract:The performance analysis of a space-time coded multiple-input and multiple-output system with variable-power adaptive modulation over Nakagami-m fading channels is presented. The optimum switching thresholds for attaining maximum spectrum efficiency (SE) subject to a target bit error rate (BER) and an average power constraint are derived. The existence and uniqueness of the Lagrange multiplier used in the constrained optimization are discussed. The probability density functions of instantaneous signal-to-noise… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
