Abstract:Spatio-temporal point pattern data are becoming prevalent in many scientific disciplines. We model the first-order intensity of spatio-temporal point pattern data, considering the intensity as a parametric log-linear function of spatial, temporal, and spatio-temporal covariates. Dealing with spatio-temporal covariates brings computational and methodological challenges compared to the purely spatial case. We extend regularisation methods to perform variable selection for spatial point processes to the spatio-te… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
