Variation of Scutellar Bristles in Drosophila V. Components of Selection Advance

Abstract: SummaryA study of the "inversion marked" chromosome technique for separation of components of selection advance is described and the accuracy of this method is discussed, for the character, number of extrascutellar bristles in D. melanogaster.Analysis of variance of mean scutellar number showed no significant effect of replicates or transfers at the 1 % level.
