Abstract:Hypotensive influences of benzodiazepines and other GABAA receptor ligands, recognized in clinical practice, seem to stem from the existence of “vascular” GABAA receptors in peripheral blood vessels, besides any mechanisms in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
