Abstract: Background Granulomatosis with polyangiitis is a systemic inflammatory disease characterized by necrotizing vasculitis that affects small- and medium-sized blood vessels. Granulomatous inflammation affects the lungs, ears, nose, and throat, and commonly affects the kidneys, although the retroperitoneal tissue is rarely affected.
