Vascular Toxicity of Cocaine

Abstract: Cocaine acts on the vascular system by a number of mechanisms including monoamine re-uptake inhibition, local anesthesia, anti-cholinergic activity, alpha-adrenergic stimulation, regulation of various vasoconstrictor and vasodilator agents and promotion of prothrombotic state.
