Vectorlike leptons: Muon g2 anomaly, lepton flavor violation, Higgs boson decays, and lepton nonuniversality

Abstract: In this paper, we consider the Standard Model (SM) with one family of vectorlike (VL) leptons, which couple to all three families of the SM leptons. We study the constraints on this model coming from the heavy charged lepton mass bound, electroweak precision data, the muon anomalous magnetic moment, lepton flavor violation, Higgs decay constraints, and a recently measured lepton nonuniversality observable, R K * 0 , along with R K . We find that the strongest constraints are coming from the muon g − 2, R µµ = … Show more

“…Models with VL leptons mixing to the SM families often affect the LFV Higgs boson decays such as h → µτ , and also changes in the rates of lepton flavor conserving decays, see e.g. [39,45,98]. However, in the generic parameter regions of our best fit points, there is no significant contribution from the mixing to these processes.…”

“…With respect to Ref. [103,104], also aiming at an explanation of the b → s + − anomalies, we add not only a 4 th generation of leptons but also of quarks [105][106][107][108] There, we also provide completely general expressions for the formulae of the relevant Wilson coefficients. We review the corresponding observables together with the current experimental situation in Sec.…”

“…For instance, LFV Higgs boson decays are predicted in models with VL leptons studied in Refs. [4,20,42]. All observables here are calculated at tree-level, except for h → γγ.…”
