Estudio de una de las imágenes más famosas de la pintura, conocida como Las Meninas, en el que se aplican algunos conceptos semióticos para identificar fenómenos relacionados con una serie de prácticas y concepciones culturales vigentes en la época de producción del lienzo, que se expresan en la particular organización de los signos pictóricos, en los elementos técnicos, temáticos y en los recursos utilizados en el lienzo, en el que de Diego Velázquez enfatizó la capacidad narrativa e ilusionista de la imagen, y la expresión de una dimensión temporal y dinámica del acontecer.
